I grew up in Goleta, CA. It will always feel like “home” for me. In between recent weddings down in Santa Barbara, I had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for Riley and Antonella at one of my favorite spots in Goleta, Lake Los Carneros. This spot is one of the reasons that Goleta is called the Goodland. I loved shooting there, and we didn’t even hardly use all of the good locations there. Riley is also a Goleta native, and we went to high school together at Dos Pueblos. I’m so happy that Riley found Antonella and they are getting married! It’s always good to see friends happy and in a good spot in life. Here are some of the photos from the shoot. Which one do you like the most?

You can see a slideshow of images from this shoot here.
Here are some of the beautiful details from last weekend’s wedding at the UC Berkeley Faculty Club. More coming soon.

I was fortunate to be a part of Vanessa and Glen’s amazing San Francisco wedding earlier this year. They had their wedding reception at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The ceremony was held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, just up the street from my house. Their wedding was amazing from start to finish! I love how they infused their pasion for all things Edwardian and baroque into their wedding decor. For example, Vanessa had her dress custom made for her by Claire Pettibone. Glen wore a custom tailored edwardian suit with velvet and asian silk. Their use of pastels, peacock feathers, gold… All of the venues had baroque architectural details as well. Their love for music, dancing and funky San Francisco vibes played a roll too. Magic Bus provided transportation for all of the guests to and from the ceremony. The tables at the reception were decorated with cookies, cakes, french macaroons, and pastries. You can never have too much desert! Here are photos from the day:

Thank you to my friends, Rob Van Harken and Matthias who helped photograph different parts of this wedding with me. You can see more photos in the slideshow, or on the proofing site as well. Cheers!

Thank you for sharing this. I truly enjoyed seeing one of the most beautiful weddings I didn’t attend.
The great part is that the blog made me feel that I did attend!
May the glow of this beautiful day stay with Sessa and Glen for the rest of their lives!

I am so excited to share my new website with you all! http://joshgruetzmacher.com Please check it out and let me know what you think. It has tons of new images, including several weddings that I haven’t even blogged yet. You can see the amazing France destination wedding Alexis and I got to be a part of for Lindsay and Marc, or my good friend’s John and Veronica’s Four Seasons Biltmore wedding in Montecito, and Hazel and Vimal’s wedding at the Saratoga Foothill Club. I have the best job! I am extremely grateful that my hobby has become my career, and I get to document amazing weddings for the coolest people and call it work. Thank you all for letting me be a part of your weddings!
I really liked looking through all of the recent weddings for the galleries. It wasn’t easy to pick out the best photos since there were so many that I love. I’m hoping to add lots more to the wedding favorites gallery as well, so keep an eye peeled for new stuff there. If I haven’t blogged your wedding yet, I’m also hoping to do that soon as well.

I was inspired to change my site after I re-designed my blog earlier this year. I wanted my blog and site to feel more consistent, and to showcase all of your beautiful wedding photos in the best way possible. A huge thank you to Eric and the other nice people at Bigfolio, who helped make it work so smooth. If you are looking for a website, check them out. Cheers!
