Marianne and Randy were married at her parent’s home in Sonoma on a beautiful summer day. They wanted the wedding to have an approachable elegance, so they brought in Shannon Leahy Events to help bring their vision to life. They utilized the existing pathways through the oak trees as a way for the guests to get to the ceremony site next to the coi pond. Bright, juicy florals by Flowerwild adorned the ceremony aisle and floral arch. The adjacent orchard and garden were perfect for the cocktail hour. Finally dinner was served in the tent build-out followed by dessert and dancing. Shannon Leahy and her team wanted to keep everything natural flowing seamlessly from the landscape through the various design elements and and the tent build out. They used lots of wood tones, sisal carpets, raw linen and copper accents to mimic textures already found on the property. This neutral backdrop allowed the bright fuchsia, purple and pink florals to be a fun pop of color and to define the color palate. The groom has always been interested in graphic deign and he designed the invitation and worked with Yonder design to print and produce the other paper goods for the day. They had bottles of wine grown on the property for the for the guests to take home as a favors at the end of the night.
Another special touch that they were able to incorporate into their day was the African tradition, tasting of the flavors flavors during the ceremony. The four flavors are vinegar, cayenne pepper, lemon, and honey, and they are used to signify the bitter, the spice, the sour and the sweetness a couple should experience during their lifetime of marriage.
We were honored to have their wedding featured in Geraldine Magazine Issue 02 and on Style Me Pretty.

It is an honor to have my photos of Neal and Anar's wedding at Kunde Family Estate featured in the current issue of Modern Luxury's Brides California Magazine! Their wedding weekend was so much fun, and it was insanely gorgeous with Shannon Leahy Events at the helm. We had an all star cast of vendors including florals by Michael Daigian Design, videography by Reel Eyes Media, catering by Amber India and a photobooth by Tomfoolery SF. They also had some shout out images in their Hitched in California section from Sean and Patty's wedding at Bimbo's 365 (with Dream a Little Dream Events) and Gina and Stephen's wedding at the Presidio Social Club (with Rebecca Reategui Special Events). It's on stands now, or you can see the full issue online if you prefer.
It was great getting to work with some of my favorite wedding professionals to produce this shoot. It started with the China Cabin in Tiburon, an intimate event space with beautiful 22k gold leaf detailing throughout the interior. Shannon Leahy was inspired to explore a different- old meets new- design based on China Cabin. Lots of rich gold and yellow toile flowed into all areas of this concept. Shannon pulled a custom linen, gold flatware and gilded plates (from Frances Lane), gold candelabras and chairs. Anne from Mira Aster created a stunning paper suite with the toile fabric sewn to the printed paper with gold thread and a folded-book style invite. Amber from Sweet on Cake brought the toile and the architectural detailing into a custom wedding cake for us. San Francisco bridal designer, Trish Lee, let us use her brand new 2014 gowns. My favorite florist, Max Gill, made rich burgundy arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres and the floral crown. It was really fun getting to see this concept come together and I hope people might find some inspiration for their wedding as well. To top it all off, this shoot was featured on Snippet and Ink today!
